Heading to Colac

I had a week to kill before the Ferry was booked for Tassie. I decided to go to the Surf Coast and stay a few days in Warrnambool and Colac, places I had never visited before. I would be going straight on to Tassie from Warrnambool so had to take everything I needed for Tassie as well.

Here's how the bike looked fully loaded ready for the trip:

Due to problems with the train service,  I had to get the train from Woodend to Sunbury, change there and get a Metro to Albion, then cycle from there to Footscray. At Footscray I could get the train to Colac.

Albion to Footscray was therefore a bit  of a ride through the Melbourne City suburbs. I struggled with the map, took some wrong turns and got to Footscray with not much time to spare.

Then it was a relaxing train journey to Colac. Phew!
